In depth

Verdict

A rare runner at this level for Barry Hills, Red Forest is worthy of consideration, but he has plenty to prove now, even at this level. Bacchanalia, the winner of a maiden at Chester last year, makes a belated seasonal reappearance. Strictly on the figures, she comes out best of all and while she should not want for fitness, fast ground would be a bigger concern, so she would not mind some rain. Capallin, from a yard in good form, returns from a lay off and this half-sister to the useful Silver Groom, should go well if fully tuned up, while Scurra, who failed to handle the track at Epsom is another worth a mention.
