Verdict

Brag is taken to defy topweight in the nursery, with Straffan, Next Time and Alsu expected to give her most to do. Roger Charlton's inmate has yet to score from three starts but has shown enough, notably on her Salisbury debut behind Black Velvet, to warrant support. She looks a sharp sort and again ran well in defeat at the Wiltshire track a month ago. Brag's overall form makes her a leading player, with Straffan possibly the one to test her the most. She does have to improve a bit though, having been touched off in selling company over the course and distance last time. Even so, Dandy Nicholls' filly has plenty of experience and should make her presence felt off this mark. Next Time tried to make all when beaten at Warwick and may do better with a little restraint, while of the rest, Alsu makes some appeal, having come up against useful company at both Ascot and The Curragh. An interesting nursery can go the way of Brag.
