In depth

Verdict

Zameyla has hit form and is taken to follow up a recent win, with Crail, Tadawul and Honest Injun all expected to make their presence felt. Zameyla has been hard to train and when lining up at Salisbury six days ago, was having her first outing since being turned over when odds-on at Yarmouth in June. She looked a different proposition on the softer ground at the Wiltshire track, and was given a good ride by Philip Robinson who took her to the far rail in the straight and went on to score easily. That win was important for this well-bred filly, and she can add to that before going to the paddocks eventually. Crail also scored at Salisbury on his last start, but that was in an apprentice event in August, so he has more to do, and a bigger danger is likely to be Tadawul who could be open to lots of improvement after her Epsom success that came at the second time of asking. Honest Injun has a fair amount of experience now and produced his best effort for some time when second in a Newmarket claimer, but he too has it to do against some progressive sorts, the best of whom may turn out to be Zameyla.
