In depth

Verdict

This handicap chase can go the way of Rubberdubber with Harris Bay posing as the main threat. Ridden once again by Tony McCoy Rubberdubber was impressive in winning at Newbury after a long lay off. He has risen in the weights as a consequence but we feel he is still ahead of the handicapper and is worth siding with again. Harris Bay won two races last season at Towcester and Sandown and still looks nicely weighted to go well again here after finishing a promising third on his seasonal reappearance. Both Balladeer and Gallik Dawn have previous form but need to be at their very best to land themselves in the winners enclosure. So for the winner we return to Rubberdubber.
