Probably not the strongest of events in which Alasil is taken to follow up his recent Ponterfract win. The Swain colt made a pleasing debut behind the useful Rainwashed Gold at Newmarket, before failing on overwatered ground at Salisbury. Back on a fast surface at the South Yorkshire track he made no mistake and providing they don't have too much rain at Leicester (at the time of writing it was cloudy, but dry), the Vodafone Derby entry should have too much class for his rivals. Altitude Dancer, a half-brother to 12-furlong winner Treble Heights, was ten-lengths behind the selection on his debut and while he should improve for that, it is difficult to see him overturning the form, while Bugatti Royale's run at Chester behind Big Bad Bob, has been made to look that much better after the winner ran away with a Listed event over the weekend. Using Rainwashed Gold as a line, Bugatti Royale must have every chance, but Big Bad Bob has obviously improved quite a bit in the meantime and Alasil is taken to come out on top. Summerland has been asked some serious questions since landing his maiden and it remains to be seen whether he retains his enthusiasm.
