Verdict

There probably won't be too many of them get into this on this heavy ground, but Air Of Affection, Glory Be and Sunshine Rays look likely to show up well and we will take Air Of Affection to defy a penalty. The Jim Turner-trained filly made all on her debut at Sedgefield, where she overcame a tendency to jump left to win. Admittedly it was no great contest, but she did show the aptitude required and we will support her to frank that with another success. Sunshine Rays won a fast ground bumper in spring 2004 and has been off the track since. Colin Tinkler can certainly ready them to win first time after a break, so market support would be significant. Venetia Williams-trained Glory Be had just the one bumper run last season, and the mare will have been well schooled ahead of this debut, while support for either of the David Wintle duo of Knotty Ash Girl or Silverpro could be significant in this sort of contest. Ericas Charm has a win to her name but has rather lost her way since, and we take Air Of Affection to defy topweight.
