Verdict

A decent prize has attracted a strong line-up with most entering the fray in good form. Winter Lion followed a victory on the Flat at Limerick with an all-the-way success over timber at Bellewstown but the assessor has had his say with a massive 13lb rise. Tigris River started favourite in that latter event and though not getting involved stayed on near the finish and should get much closer on the revised terms. ANCIENT SANDS is the only course and distance winner and was conceding subsequent winner Time For Mabel 11lb when beating her here so should have no problems confirming the form and is handed the vote. Queen Alphabet won on the Flat at Ballinrobe last month and has a chance with Ruby on board while connections of Flaviana will be looking for compensation after she was unluckily disqualified from first at Wexford after edging to the right on the run-in.
