Verdict

Useful hunter chaser SUPREME DOC made a winning start in handicaps in a race run at a good pace at Killarney. There is scope for further improvement and he will make a bold bid to defy a 9lb rise in the weights. The Book Thief is still a maiden over the larger obstacles but has gone close on a couple of occasions and makes more appeal than Lamb's Cross, who has struggled over this trip in the past. Judge Roy Bean has the past form to figure and was fourth at Ballinrobe last month, but Edward O'Grady also saddles Clicksnmortar who is much more consistent and still largely unexposed over fences.
