In depth

Verdict

The Boat People went up 9lb for landing a handicap at Cork in May and was tried over fences where he performed with credit. There should be more improvement in him and he should be thereabouts though MONEY SPIDER could have the edge. He was highly tried after scoring at Punchestown in November and made a winning handicap debut on fast ground at Bellewstown two weeks ago. A 7lb rise isn't excessive and a quick double looks on the cards. Pink Goddess has won once in 22 starts over hurdles and generally races over slightly further but Ontheground found 2m4f beyond him here last time and his only success came over this trip.
