In depth

Verdict

KATHLEEN FRANCES showed her liking for fast ground and this trip when just touched off by All Or Now at Roscommon. She is penalised for her victories on the Flat but Ger Fox' claim is a bonus and she can gain her first success over timber. New River has yet to prove herself over this far but ran very well when attempting to make all over the minimum at Roscommon and has to be of interest. Station Closed ran very poorly on her first two starts over hurdles but has done much better in bumpers subsequently so an improved effort is envisaged. Winning point-to-pointer Pestal And Mortar produced one good effort over hurdles last season and would be a threat if staging a repeat. Hurricane Lauren was left well clear for a very easy victory between the flags in May and is one to keep an eye on.
