Verdict

BLACK ACE started favourite on his debut between the flags at Boulta a year ago and though beaten by A Genie In Abottle the winner has turned out to be useful. He went for £95,000 a few days later and can start repaying some of that purchase money. Carrig Cathal won a point at Corbeagh House a year ago and went for £40,000 at the sales before making a promising bumper debut behind the odds-on Presenting Percy at Punchestown last month so he's an obvious threat. Lion In His Heart is certain to have benefited from his run at Thurles in March and Pat's Pearl from her decent effort in a huge field at Punchestown.
