GOLDEN KITE has been doing really well over fences recently and was well supported for the Pat Taaffe Handicap Chase at Punchestown last week but came to grief when beginning to make headway. He's better handicapped over hurdles and can recoup losses sustained at The Festival. Blaze Trailer, who was a close-up fourth to Adrian Maguire's charge at Tramore recently, is 5lbs better off but better over the bigger obstacles. Oscar Glory, who was third that day, was receiving lumps of weight and can have little hope of reversing form with the winner on these terms. Golden Alou improved with every run over timber last season and was having his first start since landing a Punchestown maiden in October when well beaten there last week. Energiser looks a big threat as Martin Brassil's charge has been very unfortunate not to lose his maiden tag over timber though a 5lbs rise for his second to Hoochie Mama at Naas probably won't have gone down too well with connections.
