In depth

Verdict

Flowing Clarets and Swendab are facing a very stiff task at the weights in this claimer but the others all have a chance of sorts, though the three-year-old Swiss Pride has to give weight to older rivals. Pettochside last won on the Polytrack six years ago but has won on Turf this year. John Bridger’s veteran should give a good account but POUR LA VICTOIRE is preferred. The latter was keeping better company on this surface at the start of the year and has also recorded a win on Turf this year. Steelriver has won five times on the all-weather, including here, so looks a threat to all.
