Verdict

A race contested by mainly in and out performers, which is being kind to some of these. None more so than the frustrating Shore Vision, who will be more at home over this trip having not quite seen out the 10-furlongs at Windsor. With a win record of 1 from 25 outings, he doesn't exactly inspire confidence, but he is a horse who travels well in his races and likes to be up with the pace, so he would appear well placed in stall 11. Firewire proved his effectiveness here when filling second spot behind Must Be Magic here earlier this month, but this will be his 5th outing in July and that may just be one too many. Ridden by an inexperienced apprentice, Theatre Lady wasn't given the best of rides at Folkestone on Monday and is capable of better than she showed there. Well drawn tonight, she could go well at a decent price. However, Shore Vision, with Richard Quinn on board to make his mind up, gets the vote ahead of some iffy rivals.
