Verdict

Greylami, Eastern Hills and National Day are the three for the shortlist in this maiden and the vote goes to Greylami. The selection does have ability and he shaped with promise on his first two starts. However, he was a little disappointing last time at Lingfield over 7f. He's back up in trip today which could be the key to his chance and we will side with him to land the prize. Eastern Hills is the obvious alternative as he was an expensive purchase and he ran well on his debut at Lingfield when a close fourth behind Top Drawer. There should be more to come as he ran green that day and with the extra distance also a big plus he has to be respected. National Day is another who has to enter calculations as she is a big strapping filly and she wasn't beaten far behind Crispian at Lingfield last time. She is sure to come on for the run as she showed signs of greeness and she has obvious claims. Hamalka has had a few chances now and she looks worth taking on tonight. All of which returns us to Greylami as the one to beat.
