Verdict

Volcanic has a good strike-rate and returns from a lengthy lay-off on a decent mark but others are preferred. Kings Temptation might reverse Huntingdon running with Night Generation on slightly better terms but the step up to 3m on a slightly easier surface should suit winning pointer GOOD MAN PAT, who is just about the least exposed of these. Muthabir kept on without threatening when third at Ludlow and is running into form but Teak may be feeling his age. Le Dauphin is a course winner but needs to drop a few pounds and a bigger danger is probably Right Of Reply, who has only won a Hexham maiden so far but has bags of scope having raced just twice under Rules.
