In depth

Verdict

CASTERLY ROCK was easy to back on his hurdling debut here in March but showed plenty of promise in a race that’s worked out well. Any improvement on that should put him in the firing-line today. Highway One O One won a Plumpton maiden last month but couldn’t cope with a penalty when odds-on at Fontwell. Burrows Edge is an interesting newcomer to hurdles after placed efforts in points and a bumper but may find this on the short side. Mister Malarky has hinted at ability but Potterman may be a bigger danger having destroyed the opposition in a Huntingdon bumper in May on his first appearance.
