In depth

Verdict

Boumahou is given the confident vote in the finale with Typhoon Tilly, Turtle Valley and Belle Rouge rated as the main dangers. The selection has overall been a frustrating sort to follow, but he seemed to be finally getting the hang of things last time when a good winner over High Point, and now that the penny has dropped it would be foolish to abandon him as he could be capable of scoring again. Typhoon Tilly finished third in that Lingfield race but could get closer with Sam Hitchcott taking off a handy 3lbs now that he is dropped in trip. Turtle Valley would not be out of this on the pick of his form but he has been a little disappointing of late, while Belle Rouge was a good second behind Beyond The Pole last time after a 488 day absence from the racecourse. He could go well if he does not 'bounce' but for the winner we return to Boumahou.
