Verdict

Playtime Blue, Justalord, The Fisio and Polish Emperor should be good enough to fight this one out at the finish and the tentative vote is given to Polish Emperor. The selection is a course and distance winner who is fit from a winter campaign on the all-weather. He ran really well last time at Lingfield when a close second behind Turibius. He missed the break that day but stayed on in game fashion and could be capable of gaining compensation in this event. Playtime Blue looks the biggest danger as this gelding from the Karl Burke yard is fit and in good form, goes well on this track and has the plum draw in stall 1. The Fisio has been running well on the all-weather but he will find life tough from stall 15 and looks worth taking on. Ellens Lad is another that has been done no favours by the draw, so it might be worth considering Justalord who goes well in big field handicap events, has course form and is well drawn in stall 4. This is a wide open race, but Polish Emperor has plenty going for him and is taken to score.
