Verdict

Chockdee has had a few names called in the past but he can silence his doubters if taking todays contest - the Graham Wylie owned Coat of Honour appearing the only feasible alternative in the race that is weak in terms of quality. Paul Nicholls' charge was one of the highest rated maidens in training prior to taking his first race at Cheltenham in October. He looks to be just the sort of horse that Nicholls excels with and if there is any rainfall between now and flagfall his chances should increase significantly. As a graduate of the Sir Mark Prescott academy; Coat of Honour's resilience is without question. He has been unextended in two weak Musselborough races and will have to be top notch to give 3lb away to our selection. Made In France was gifted a race recently as the distinctly ungenuine Emanic conspired to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Martin Pipe's horses have to respected but he does not look to have improved too much since his late-summer campaign. Lustral Du Seuil and Without A Doubt are both upped in grade following recent successes in lesser company. Night Warrior should be fit from a recent spin on the flat while Rocket Force finished down-the-field on the flat in the Magnolia Stakes for Ed Dunlop some months ago. The front two look on paper to be a class above the remainder and we will side with Chockdee.
