In depth

Verdict

Only Harik of these has raced so far this term but Gary Moore's gelding was well beaten on his return at Huntingdon earlier this week and is difficult to recommend so we side with the reappearing Tysou, who gets the vote over Phar Jeffen. The last mentioned has not been sighted since winning a novices' chase at Towcester in May 2002 so it is impossible to know how much ability he retains. Ron Hodges is likely to have the son of Phardante ready for his comeback but it will be a surprise if Tysou is not good enough to make a winning return. The fast ground is not a problem for Nicky Henderson's gelding, who goes well when fresh and he is the obvious choice.
