Verdict

Simon Crisford's string is in cracking form so his Sir Percy newcomer Percy's Word is worth a market check as his dam stayed well, though he only cost 15,000gns. Chaparrachik and Spring Jig are both possible improvers over this trip on their third start while Caramuru and DRAW SWORDS were both third on their respective debuts here over a mile. The latter wasn't given a hard time and can open his account today representing the yard that was successful in the race 12 months ago with a similar type.
