In depth

Verdict

Monarch Maid will be carrying 3lb over her allotted weight and her latest victory at Chelmsford came in a lower grade. THE SPECIAL ONE has never won on an artificial surface but is getting closer and was only caught on the line at Lingfield so can go one better. Light Laughter makes a quick reappearance after a moderate effort at Southwell and was behind the selection at Lingfield while Poppy In The Wind has always looked better on Tapeta. Magic Mirror completed a double here in the autumn but hasn't quite been able to cope with the slight rise into this grade from her current mark.
