Verdict

SUPERNOVERRE is the clear pick on the ratings and can land the opener for the Amanda Perrett stable; the main dangers could prove to be Dougie Peel and Hassadin who is closely weighted with Kevin Ryan's runner. The selection Supernoverre is a maiden after seven starts but has posted some respectable efforts which stand out, particularly when comparing his opponents to those which he faces today. He tackled ten furlongs for the first time on his last start, staying on well in the closing stages having been held-up. More prominent tactics are likely to be applied from his high draw and he looks the one to beat despite the long standing maiden concern. Dougie Peel has scored three times in claiming and selling company during the last few months. Holding him up over seven furlongs did not seem the most astute tactics while the step up to ten furlongs here is likely to suit. Hassadin is weighted to finish in front of Dougie Peel, being 5lb better off for finishing 1/2 length behind him last time. He never travelled at Bath last time out and the tongue tie is now applied. Paddythefish is interesting now dropped into this grade. This half-brother to the highly regarded Checklow was far from disgraced in what is turning out to be a hot conditions event run at Kempton earlier in the year. The step up to ten furlongs is the unknown where he is concerned. Supernoverre is selected to land the opener.
