    Verdict

VIA AURELIA should get off the mark if repeating her latest effort, although support for either Hayek, Young Simon or Dilys Maud would be worth noting. James Fanshawe's filly went down by a head when well-backed last time, going down only to a rival completing a hat-trick. She's up 8lbs but started life off a lowly rating and it'll be disappointing if she can't take care of these from a good draw. Hayek had three starts in maiden company last year without showing much but the last race in particular has worked out very well, so support for William Jarvis' runner would be interesting on his return from a 273-day break. Dilys Maud is also a handicap newcomer and she should be suited by stepping back up in trip; Steve Drowne's booking is a strong one and she's one to keep a close eye on. Young Simon is given cheek-pieces to replace the visor he'd previously been running in; his best effort came over this trip at Brighton and although he didn't show much on his polytrack debut that was in a reasonable maiden and there could be more to come. Giulietta Da Vinci hasn't yet won a handicap but is dropping to what looks a fair mark ahead of her debut at Kempton while Naseby is relatively closely matched with our pick on a line through Collect Art but disappointed last time and probably needs to improve. Via Aurelia looks poised to take the last.
