In depth

Verdict

A truly dire contest where a visit to the bar would be the best suggestion, but if you must risk the hard-earned then Straight Face is given the nod over Suhayl Star. Michael Wigham-trained Straight Face drops back to this trip having being just held over a mile last time. Blinkers worked well then and they are kept on here, and provided they are as effective then he looks to have enough speed to win. Suhayl Star has not been far away over the past couple of starts, being beaten by Bahamian Bay last time over this trip at Wolverhampton. However, Suhayl Star is now 9lb better off with for a one length defeat and can surely reverse those placings. Fun In The Sun was runner up in a similarly poor race here last time but consistency is not his forte, and Straight Face can come out of this laughing.
