        Verdict

        Tidal Storm finished closer at Newbury last month without threatening while Sausalito debuted at the latter track during the summer and better is expected. The Godolphin colt Imperial Crown cost 1.1 million guineas as a half-brother to a host of winners though it’s something of a surprise to see William Buick partner stablemate Last Ammo, who has already undergone wind surgery and is fitted with a tongue-tie. Roger Varian’s yard remains in fine form and ASAASSI, related to a winner in France, gets the speculative vote with Ochil House and Playday others to note.
