In depth

Verdict

A disappointing turnout for a nice prize and ANDREAS VESALIUS is likely to be at short odds for his all-weather debut. Joseph O'Brien's charge, a winner at Naas in May, has competed at Group level subsequently and chased home the odds-on Beauty Inspire in the Group 3 Anglesey Stakes at the Curragh in July. The winner's yard is represented by Neo Soul, who has a fitness advantage having been narrowly beaten by Tosen Wish at Navan last month, his fourth decent effort in strong maiden company on Turf. Ecoutez made a promising debut at Navan but didn't appear to handle softer ground at Cork and the remainder looks as though they are playing for minor money.
