In depth

Verdict

Sonoftheking was second to Virak on his hurdling debut at Newton Abbot but will need to improve on that to trouble OTTO THE GREAT, who had shown plenty of promise over hurdles before winning a novice chase at Doncaster in February. Good ground suits him well. Gold Ingot may do better when tackling handicaps but is still preferred to Fontwell third Proper Villan and Kalmbeforethe storm. King Boru has some scope and looks the pick of the remainder.
