In depth

Verdict

Bad Moon Rising, Buds Dilemma and ROSIE CROSS are the trio for the shortlist and we will nominate Rosie Cross as the pick. This mare shaped as though her turn would not be far away when she finished a close fourth behind Sharps Gold here last month. She has a good draw and she can make it count. Bad Moon Rising was dropped to this grade for the first time when he chased home Kinsman at Great Leighs back in January. He is clearly a capable performer at this level and he has to be on the shortlist. Buds Dilemna finished fourth behind Vanatina at Southwell last time and she was the subject of some market support that day so she is certainly one to note in the market. Amwell House has ability but he has failed to get his head in front in 19 attempts so the percentage call would be to take him on. We will return to Rosie Cross as the choice.
