    Verdict

FAZBEE can defy top weight in this company and gets a speculative nomination as the one to be on. Final Victory is going the right way and won't make it easy for the selection, while Ostaadi has plenty of scope for improvement and is also a contender. A case can also be made for Caloo but he needs to prove his stamina over a mile-and-a-half, so isn't one to trust implicitly. Ostaadi didn't need to improve to win a maiden at Southwell last month but still impressed with an accomplished effort. This is a tougher night out for him but he is in the right hands for his talents to be nurtured to good effect - a strong move for the Michael Jarvis-trained colt will be noteworthy. Final Victory ran away with a soft-ground maiden at Newcastle 19 days ago and is obviously flourishing as a three-year-old. That was a poor race, though, and he needs to up the ante to follow up tonight. Therefore, it can pay to side with Fazbee, who sets the standard for the time being. This daughter of Fasiliyev is stoutly bred on her dam's side and, having posted a respectable effort under tender handling at Sandown last time out; it would come as no surprise to see Fazbee let loose now she has proved she has the necessary engine to be effective at the distance.
