Verdict

John McShane has started his training career with a bang and his runner Argentina needs serious consideration, however BOTHAM impressed with the style of his victory last time out and is fancied to win again. Jim Goldie's runner was successful under today's jockey last time out and he showed plenty of resolution to hold on near the line. Although he has a 4lb higher mark to race from this afternoon, he does seem to appreciate this quick ground and the drop in trip is unlikely to pose too many problems. All You Need comes here on the back of a Leicester selling win, Just Sam was successful at Redcar last time and the second has come out and won since, whilst Argentine has a 6lb penalty for his win recently at Hamilton but he is yet to win over anything but the minimum trip. Sunley Sovereign represents a trainer in good form, whilst Whozart and Obe One have the services of two of the more experienced jockeys in the race. Strathmore, second to All You Need last time, Finsbury and The History Man, all come here on the back of good runs in defeat, but in a very tricky race to call it is Botham who can bowl his rivals over.
