Magnetic Force and Arctic Cosmos will have their supporters here but we will side with IPSWICH LAD as the selection. Andrew Balding has been having a quiet spell but Ipswich Lad can provide him with another winner. This colt has only had the two runs but he has shaped with promise on each occasion and he was far from disgraced in a competitive Newmarket maiden last time. He looks to be going the right way and he is taken to open his account. Magnetic Force hails from the Sir Michael Stoute yard but he was a little disappointing last time when he looked one-paced, and he may be seen to better effect over a slightly longer trip. John Gosden's newcomer Arctic Cosmos is worth noting on his racecourse bow, especially as the yard have been back among the winners in recent days. The Richard Hannon-trained Milnagavie won't have to find much improvement to get competitive, but in a race where the market may well provide the clues, we will give the vote to Ipswich Lad.
