In depth

Verdict

KING'S COLOUR gets the vote in the finale at the main expense of Farleigh House and McConnell. The selection is chasing the hat-trick here and it was a good effort to dispose of Ogre at Epsom last time out. He looks to be on an upward curve and he is taken to win again from his favourable draw. Farleigh House hails from the Sir Mark Prescott yard and he won well at Wolverhampton last time, but that was over 1m1f and this drop in trip is not sure to play to his strengths. McConnell is back on a fair mark and he was good value for his winning margin at Southwell last month. He should be capable of getting competitive, while Suzi Spends disappointed again last time and she may be in the grip of the handicapper at present. King's Colour is in great form and he can continue his hot streak.
