Formwatch

Approval Followed a comfortable debut win at Salisbury with a close runner-up finish to Kulachi in valuable Newbury conditions event; looks ideally suited to this 6f trip for now.

Izmail (IRE) Close second to Pepperoni in Listed Roses stakes at York; well beaten last of four on only start to date over 6f.

Million Percent Easy winner of Ripon conditions event by five lengths in August; went back to the Yorkshire track later last month to run second to Resplendent Cee in Listed race; seems best suited by fast ground.

Mr Toad (IRE) Showed plenty of speed to win 6f nursery at Epsom last week; prior to that had finished fifth to Falcon Hill in valuable Newmarket event; more to do in this company.

Prism Stayed on well to beat Falcon Hill in one of season's most competitive nurseries to date at the York Ebor meeting; should be better over further in time, but 6f looks to suit for now; stable is in excellent form.

Racing Bailey's Beat three rivals comprehensively by five lengths in Hamilton conditions race last time; may be best suited by soft ground; takes on stronger opposition here and appears to be Mark Johnston's second string.

Scottish River (USA) Followed easy Thirsk maiden win with good second to Meshaheer in Newmarket's July Stakes; close last of four to Funfair Wane in Washington Singer Stakes at Newbury on last start; appears to be the first string of trainer Mark Johnston.

Twilight Blues (IRE) Opened account in Newbury maiden in June; good third to Rock Of Gibraltar in York's Gimcrack Stakes last month; consistent sort.

Lipstick Very easy winner of Bath maiden last month; well regarded by shrewd trainer and improvement likely; only filly in the race.
