In depth

Verdict

Bangalore acquitted himself well on his long awaiterd comeback from injury when a close second behind Conquestadora at Salisbury and should go well once again despite a subsequent 3lb rise. Cacqui d'Or was a most progressive performer last term picking up three handicaps and looks capable of improving on his Kempton fifth behind Tender Trap in the Queen's Prize. The lightly raced Johnny Oscar is a half brother to stablemate and Irish St Leger hero Arctic Owl and should make his mark at this level while winning hurdler Dubai Seven Stars shapes as though he will appreciate the step up in trip after his latest effort at Bath.
