In depth

Verdict

SYDNEY PAGET won over hurdles at Bangor and Ayr last season and is sure to have had plenty of schooling over the larger obstacles. Donald McCain's five-year-old could be the one to beat here though Micro Mission won over timber here in December last year and also scored at Ayr in April. He's already won over fences between the flags and will be a big threat. On Broadway is another point-to-point winner and he's very much at home on heavy ground and will lack nothing in fitness but Our Island is one-paced and, though he's been taking on much better company, may need a thorough stamina test if he's to get his head in front.
