In depth

Verdict

It’s difficult to evaluate the merit of Baboin’s victory at Uttoxeter, though the third has placed again since. He has to concede weight to LITTLE RORY MAC, even though Richard Newland’s recent acquisition won a conditionals’ race at Market Rasen in December. A subsequent failure on heavy going at Leicester is a concern but he still gets the nod. Foxey was second to a hot favourite at Newcastle on his hurdles bow and makes more appeal than Allthatglistens, not seen since winning a four-runner at bumper at Perth in August.
