Verdict

The likes of Eyze, No Picnic and Skenfrith all have to be respected for this but Red Man has a little in hand at the weights and is the selection. The son of Toulon stepped up on previous efforts when chasing home Limerick Leader at Perth recently and a reproduction of that effort may suffice. The six-year-old meets his rivals on better terms than if this was a handicap and is the choice to take advantage of that. Eyze has only shown glimpses of ability so far and has been off the track since May, while No Picnic has not raced since March but has shown a better level of form. Skenfrith has shown steady improvement this term and is not discounted lightly. Irish Pleasure, pulled up on his recent return should strip fitter today but has it to do to beat Red Man, who looks the one to be on.
