NORTHERN ACRES can build on a progressive profile. A Sedgefield summer success was followed by a pleasing return to action at Perth 10 days ago when a close-up third behind What An Oscar in a better race than this. Off an unchanged mark, he makes plenty of appeal with the excellent Callum Whillans taking off a valuable 7lb. Lucy Normile had her string in good nick at Hexham on Friday when Agricultural was a fair third and he rates a leading threat if over those exertions. He previously looked like winning when coming to grief at the last at Sedgefield. Short Supply, a decent Flat performer for the Walfords, has yet to show the same sparkle over timber but remains lightly-raced and open to plenty of improvement.
