Verdict

SIMONIA was having her first start over timber when beaten 18l into third over the minimum at Ludlow where she was running on all too late. This trip will suit her much better and she can see off the challenge of Swatow. The latter hasn't run for almost a year when beaten into second at Exeter though she's another who will enjoy stepping up in trip. Elegant hasn't run since third in a Lingfield bumper back in 2016 but Jet Set has to go on the shortlist. A winning point-to-pointer, he did well in bumpers and, after a couple of runs over timber, was though good enough to run in a Grade 2 handicap at Newbury last month.
