    Verdict

A fair race in which Jiver and Keepers Mead look progressive and we will side with the former. Jiver has been described by connections as the new "Beau". Quite how good he is remains to be seen but he has created a likeable impression thus far and there is every chance that there will be improvement on that recent Stratford race. Keepers Mead has certainly done little wrong of late. An impressive winner of a Lingfield handicap over 2m7f; he handles the going and the step up in trip should not inconvenience. Accepting makes a very long trip down to Cambridgeshire from Scotland. He appears far from the easiest of rides but he can front run and more pertinently can stay extreme distances. Double Bogey Blues is a frustrating character at the best of times. In fairness, his form does come in smaller fields so there is some hope at least. Oysterhaven and Red Return both have things to prove. Jiver looks useful and we will stick with him.
