In depth

Verdict

Some interesting entries here. Stonegate was very well supported when making a successful debut at Sandown in November and his two subsequent runs have been in better company at Ascot. One More Go showed the benefit of his two opening runs over shorter to gain an impressive victory at Musselburgh while Rene's Girl showed promise on her introduction at Ludlow. SOUTHERN STRIFE is bred to be a champion on the Flat and cost 340,000gns as a yearling. He was sent to Catterick for his debut and won very convincingly so it will take a good one to lower his colours here. There are some well-connected newcomers to note including Beggars Cross, a brother to the useful Call The Cops.
