In depth

Verdict

Quintus was made favourite when last seen at Towcester in October but weakened up the hill to finish third to Owner Occupier. The form of that race is nothing special but he will enjoy this easier course and can't be left out of calculations. Normandy Landings is still a maiden over fences and well beaten in two starts since running Chord to a neck at Plumpton in October, while Feeling Peckish never jumped with any fluency when third at Fakenham last week. SAWPIT SUPREME has hardly shone in a couple of starts this term but her stable is in better form now and the mare remains unexposed over the larger obstacles - she gets a tentative vote.
