In depth

Verdict

ERICHT only found one too good on his racecourse debut at Ascot in November. The third has won since so the form looks solid and the Alderbrook gelding can open his account here. Pearl Mountain has the edge in experience over her rivals but looks nothing special and more interesting may be newcomer Military Precision. The latter, by Exit To Nowhere out of a Diesis mare, has a pedigree that wouldn't be out of place on the Flat and represents a yard with a decent record in this type of contest. AP McCoy has a rare ride for David Brace aboard Johnny Owen and he is also worth a second look.
