In depth

Verdict

Stack The Pack, It's Definite and Fullards are the three for the shortlist in this novices' chase and the vote is given to Stack The Pack. The selection was helped by the fact that some of his chief rivals fell last time at Uttoxeter when he won in convincing fashion despite making some blunders himself. He will need to brush up on his jumping to score today but he has ground conditions to suit and he is taken to complete the hat-trick of wins. It's Definite is interesting as he was doing all his best work at the finish in a better race than this at Exeter last time. He will be suited by the step-up in trip and it would be no surprise to see him go close. Fullards is a course and distance winner but he has not been seen out since March and the chances are he will need this run to get him right. Roman Court is another returning from a long break but he could have place prospects if he were ready to do himself justice today. However, for the winner we will return to Stack The Pack.
