In depth

Verdict

Noticeable, second last time out behind Working Title at Kempton, is fancied to go one place better this evening, possibly at the main expense of Fairyland and newcomer Amwell Brave. The selection has shown plenty of ability in two starts over hurdles, and like his stable star Katchit, this former Mick Channon inmate is open to plenty of improvement. Judging by his form on the level, this ground should be ideal and hence a big run is in the offing. Fairyland is likely to be popular, as Nicky Henderson's mare was when second on her debut at Ludlow. This Teutonic import showed up well on that run and with the winner looking a fair benchmark, she can only progress from here. Emma Lavelle's duo need to be watched in the betting, with Lagavulin the most likely to improve into a place, whilst Amwell Brave looks the sort of battling horse who could make up into a half-decent hurdler at this time of year. Travel Guide and Shire are both potential improvers, with the former having been found a relatively weak race in which to make his hurdling bow. Noticeable then is the horse who receives the vote.
