In depth

Verdict

A fairly competitive handicap complicated by Lucinda Russell running two last-time winners at the head of the weights. Mint Gold has the more recent form but was a surprise scorer at Carlisle and Blair Campbell takes 5lb off the returning Saint Freule. MURPHY’S LAW has progressed with each run and appears to have the beating of Mint Gold on collateral form. Gold Runner’s second at Ayr came over further but Snookered is quite consistent and Brian Ellison’s three-times Flat winner should be far away again.
