Verdict

NO SUCH NUMBER stayed on strongly to get off the mark over fences over track and trip earlier this month and looks capable of defying an 8lb rise against mainly disappointing rivals. Neither Captain Mowbray nor Leading Score could justify favouritism last time but the latter did only find one too good at Sedgefield and should be capable of better. Near To Tears may also have some scope but another chasing debutant, Novo Dawn, has been struggling in points in Ireland.
