HART OF STEEL showed little in two starts over hurdles last winter but after a very promising run here in October and scored at Kelso with something to spare. He's progressing nicely and can go in again. Coup De Gold's only victory came over an extended 2m3f at Catterick and he's more of a staying type while Velkera, who went to Dan Skelton after landing an Irish point, was very disappointing for the yard and finished a well-beaten last at Carlisle on her debut for new connections. Bobndave has been here four times and been placed on each occasion. He led for a long way on his return at Wetherby in March after a long break and may have won but for mistakes at the last two so looks a threat. Laskadine, a winner in France and for Nicky Henderson last year, has hardly picked his feet up subsequently but can't go much lower in the weights and it wouldn't be a shock to see him bounce back.
